The College of Business at Florida International University, located in Miami, Florida in the United States is one of the university's 26 schools and colleges and was founded in 1965. The college is split into two, separate schools, the Landon Undergraduate School of Business with over 7,000 students and the Chapman Graduate School of Business with close to 1,500 students, making the College of Business the most popular and largest professional college at Florida International University. FIU's College of Business attracts top faculty and students and is consistently ranked high in rankings by the Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, and BusinessWeek.
The college offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and Business Economics and Management. Online Corporate MBA
In 2009, FIU began offering their Master of Business Administration or corporate MBA program online via Academic Partnerships. The FIU online program provides students with access to the Chapman Graduate School of Business programs, faculty and coursework. Online students who have applied and been accepted through the Academic Partnerships program are held to the same selective standards as on campus students. However, they are not required to take the GMAT nor are they required to attend class in person. The online format provides flexibility and diversity that business professionals are seeking.
Online students are required to take at least two courses per term for 18 months. Students must also complete 42 credit hours at FIU to be eligible for the Master of Business Administration. The online corporate MBA program was designed for business professionals who desired a graduate degree.
Facilities
The college is located in two separate buildings, the Ryder Business Building for undergraduate business students and the new College of Business Complex for The Chapman Graduate School.
Classes are held at the main (Modesto A. Maidique) campus, at a new facility in Downtown Miami on Brickell Avenue (opening in fall 2011), and at the FIU Broward Pines center in Pembroke Pines.
